Conference App Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the TTAND Conference mobile application (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Introduction and Acceptance
The TTAND Conference mobile application (the “App”) is operated by The Travel Agent Next Door and its affiliates (“TTAND,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is an invitation-only platform for authorized conference participants, supplier partners, and related business attendees.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the App, by email, or by posting an updated version within the App. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Eligibility and Accounts
The App is intended for business users who are at least 18 years old and who have been invited to participate in the TTAND conference or related TTAND events.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or using your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
Your account is personal to you and may not be transferred, shared, or used on behalf of another person without authorization from TTAND.
We may suspend or remove access if we reasonably believe you are not an authorized participant, your information is inaccurate, or your use of the App violates these Terms.
Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, TTAND grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for conference participation, agenda management, professional networking, messaging, and related business activities connected to the event.
The App may allow you to view schedules, session details, speaker information, venue details, attendee profiles, supplier information, support contacts, conference materials, and related updates. It may also allow you to build a personal agenda, register for sessions, send direct messages, join group conversations, manage notifications, and update your profile.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the App to harass, threaten, intimidate, impersonate, defame, spam, or otherwise harm other users, TTAND staff, speakers, suppliers, or partners.
You may not post or transmit unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, obscene, discriminatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content, or content that infringes another party’s rights.
You may not scrape, bulk download, harvest, copy, reverse engineer, disrupt, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the App, its systems, its data, or another user’s account.
You may not use information obtained through the App for unauthorized marketing, mass solicitation, data resale, competitive misuse, or any purpose unrelated to legitimate conference participation and professional networking.
You may not introduce malware, malicious code, bots, scripts, or other tools intended to damage, exploit, or bypass the App or its security controls.
Messaging, Directory, and Networking Features
The App may include direct messaging, group channels, attendee directories, and other networking features to support communication during the conference.
You are solely responsible for the content you send, post, or share. TTAND may monitor, review, restrict, remove, or report content or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or maintain App safety.
The attendee directory and contact information are provided only for legitimate conference-related networking and business communication. You may not use this information for harassment, spam, unauthorized mass outreach, data resale, or unrelated promotional activity.
Conference Information and Availability
Schedules, speakers, sessions, locations, supplier details, and other conference information may change. TTAND may update, reschedule, relocate, limit, or cancel conference content or App features at any time.
Registration through the App may help manage attendance, but it does not guarantee capacity or entry where space, safety, or operational limits apply.
TTAND is not responsible for independent arrangements, transactions, or disputes between attendees, suppliers, sponsors, or other third parties.
User Content
If you submit, post, upload, or share content through the App, including messages, profile information, comments, images, or other materials (“User Content”), you represent that you have the right to do so and that your User Content does not violate law or third-party rights.
You retain ownership of your User Content. However, you grant TTAND a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and use that content as needed to operate, maintain, improve, secure, and promote the App and related conference activities.
TTAND may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably consider inappropriate, unsafe, unlawful, or disruptive.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, content, graphics, branding, text, images, audio, video, and other materials provided by TTAND, is owned by TTAND or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit App content without prior written permission.
Privacy and Data Protection
TTAND collects and uses personal information as described in the TTAND Privacy Policy made available within the App or through TTAND’s official channels.
The App may process information such as your name, business contact details, profile details, session registrations, agenda selections, support interactions, device information, usage diagnostics, and communications necessary to operate App features.
The App may rely on third-party service providers for authentication, messaging, analytics, error monitoring, data hosting, and payment processing. These providers may include Clerk, Stream, Sentry, MongoDB Atlas, Stripe, Apple Pay, or equivalent service providers used by TTAND from time to time.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Donations and Payments
The App is free to download and use. No payment is required to create an account, access core features, view conference content, register for sessions, use networking tools, or participate in the conference through the App.
If the App offers donations, they are entirely optional and voluntary. Donations do not unlock digital content, premium features, functionality, or access. Choosing not to donate does not reduce or limit the App experience.
Any donation or payment transaction made through the App is processed by third-party payment providers. Except where required by law or stated at the point of payment, donations are final and non-refundable.
Third-Party Services and Links
The App may contain integrations with or links to third-party services, websites, and platforms. TTAND does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or practices.
Your use of third-party services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.
Disclaimers
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTAND disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
TTAND does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times, or that defects will be corrected.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTAND and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, business, goodwill, data, or use arising out of or related to the App or these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TTAND’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid, if any, to TTAND for use of the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) CAD $100.
Termination
TTAND may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users or TTAND, or used the App unlawfully or improperly.
If your access ends, your right to use the App stops immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App.
Accessibility
TTAND aims to make the App accessible to all users. The App may support platform accessibility features such as screen readers, adjustable text settings, and other device-level accessibility tools where available.
